Role: General Manager
 Location: Brighton
 Hours: Full time (including evenings and weekends)
 Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, an established and innovative events and entertainment venue, in Brighton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced venue or events professional to oversee operations, lead a team, and drive the commercial success of a high-profile venue environment.

The Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience managing events, venues, or similar operations
At least 3 years' experience leading and managing teams
Strong knowledge of venue operations, licensing, and event management
Experience managing budgets and commercial performance
Confident IT user including Microsoft Office and shared file systems
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail 

The Role:

Oversee all aspects of venue operations including events, customer experience, safety, and compliance
Lead and manage the venue team, ensuring clear communication and collaborative working
Drive commercial performance and support new business opportunities
Manage contractors and service providers including security, production, welfare, and cleaning teams
Monitor event performance and implement improvements to maximise efficiency and customer experience
Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and industry regulations
Manage budgets and monitor financial performance against forecasts
Oversee venue documentation including risk assessments, safety procedures, and operational policies
Build relationships with promoters, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful event delivery
