RICHMOND, YORKSHIRE
£35,000

A rapidly growing organisation with a strong presence at the heart of the local community is seeking an experienced people manager to oversee a small cluster of branches.

In this role, you'll lead, coach and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service, ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently, company standards are consistently upheld and customers receive the highest level of care and support.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a General Manager your key duties will include:

  * Lead the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring consistently high service standards, operational efficiency and an excellent customer experience.

  * Manage, develop and support a high-performing team through regular communication, performance management, training and resource planning.

  * Drive business growth by building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and external stakeholders, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

  * Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations and quality standards, ensuring a safe, professional and well-managed working environment.

  * Contribute to commercial success by managing budgets, monitoring performance, controlling costs and supporting the achievement of financial and operational targets.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be considered for the role of General Manager, you must:

  * Bring proven experience in a managerial role within a customer/ service-based environment e.g. retail or hospitality.

  * Have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a range of individuals.

  * Be commercially aware, with strong numeracy and problem-solving skills, alongside excellent attention to detail.

  * Experienced in collaborating with teams and supporting operational success, with the ability to coach and develop others where required.

  * Approachable, empathetic and professional, a commitment to delivering exceptional service standards.
