Position: Graduate Civil Engineer
 Location: Cardiff
 Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

Bennett and Game are pleased to be representing a well-established, employee-owned civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Cardiff. With over 30 years of industry presence, they are now seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their growing team due to continued project success and a strong pipeline of projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to begin their career within a supportive consultancy, working alongside Chartered Civil Engineers on a wide range of developments while receiving structured mentoring and training towards Chartership.

Graduate Civil Engineer Job Overview

Assist with the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across multiple sectors
Support drainage and infrastructure design for planning and technical approval stages
Work on projects typically valued between £4 million and £15 million
Gain experience across residential developments, education facilities, commercial refurbishments, and heritage conversions
Assist with the preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical reports
Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and external consultants
Develop an understanding of adoptable standards including SuDS, Section 104, 106, and 278
Attend design meetings and assist with client communication
Work closely with senior engineers while progressing towards professional qualifications

Graduate Civil Engineer Job Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
Placement year, internship, or graduate experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy is advantageous but not essential
An understanding of drainage and infrastructure design principles
Familiarity with software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or Causeway Flow would be beneficial
Keen to work towards ICE Chartership
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a collaborative office environment
Based within commuting distance of Cardiff or willing to relocate

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
