Our Primary Graduate Teaching Programme offers a paid, supportive, and hands-on route into education. Tradewind are working in partnership with a large Stoke-on-Trent trust, this programme allows you to experience real classroom life before committing to full teacher training.
The role
You will begin as a Primary Teaching Assistant, working closely with teachers to support children's learning and classroom routines. Your role will include:
Supporting phonics, early reading, writing, and maths activities
Leading small group interventions and providing 1:1 support
Assisting with behaviour management and creating a positive learning environment
Helping with classroom organisation and day-to-day tasks
Gradually delivering parts of lessons planned by the class teacher as your confidence growsThroughout the year, you'll be coached and mentored by experienced staff, developing essential primary teaching skills at a manageable pace.

Ideal candidate:
We're looking for graduates who:
Hold a degree in Education Studies or a child-related subject (or any degree and have experience working with children)
Are passionate about supporting young learners
Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
Are enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn
