Job Description

Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Salary/package: £31,559.99 per annum
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 45 hours per week Monday-Friday with Saturday-Sunday shifts every 6 weeks.

Due to the nature of the work being carried out, the successful candidate will need to have a Full (Clean) UK Driving Licence and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be carried out by the company.

We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and safety-conscious Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Landscape Services team. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties from grass cutting and border work to hedge trimming and maintaining public open spaces. What you’ll be doing

Carrying out ground’s maintenance tasks including grass cutting, border work, hedge trimming and sports field upkeep.

Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety practices.

Conducting safety checks on equipment and reporting any issues.

Using equipment and materials safely, following best practices.

Delivering excellent customer service and representing Landscape Services professionally.

Liaising with clients to address any concerns and resolve on-site issues.

Supporting additional operational needs such as snow clearing or managing flooded areas, when required.

What we’re looking for

Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role.

Knowledge of horticulture and safe operational procedures.

Demonstrable experience with mowing and grounds care equipment.

Basic machinery maintenance skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

A self-motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic.

Ability to travel to and from Tonbridge for work.

25 days annual leave, rising to 27 after four years.
