We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and safety-conscious Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Landscape Services team. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties — from grass cutting and border work to hedge trimming and maintaining school sports fields. What you’ll be doing

Carrying out grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, border work, hedge trimming, and sports field upkeep

Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety practices

Conducting safety checks on equipment and reporting any issues

Using equipment and materials safely, following best practices

Delivering excellent customer service and representing Landscape Services professionally

Liaising with clients to address any concerns and resolve on-site issues

Supporting additional operational needs such as snow clearing or managing flooded areas, when required

What we’re looking for

Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role

Knowledge of horticulture and safe operational procedures

Demonstrable experience with mowing and grounds care equipment

Basic machinery maintenance skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

A self-motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic

Ability to travel to and from Maidstone for work

A Full (Clean) Driving Licence

Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (carried out by us)
