I am currently working with a Kent based Local Authority who are on the lookout for an interim Hard Facilities Fabric Supervisor for an initial 3-6 month period.
This role is part-time 3 days per week, you will need to be a maximum of 20 miles away.
This role is key to maintaining the condition, safety, and usability of our corporate estate, ensuring buildings are fit for purpose for staff, residents, and service users. You will take the lead on all building fabric maintenance, overseeing contractors and works across a varied portfolio including offices, schools, community centres, and operational properties.
You must have strong knowledge of building fabric elements (roofing, walls, finishes, structural elements, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise delivery of fabric maintenance and repair works, including roofing, brickwork, carpentry, glazing, flooring, and internal finishes
* Manage and monitor contractors and suppliers, ensuring delivery against SLAs, KPIs, and contract specifications
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations across all works
* Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs
* Conduct site inspections, condition surveys, and quality audits
