Location: White City, London (Hybrid - 3 days office-based)
 Contract Length: contract until end December

Lead Consumer Insight for One of the World's Most Recognised Brands

We are seeking an experienced Head of Consumer & Market Insight to join a leading global FMCG organisation on an interim basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior insight professional to shape consumer strategy across high-profile beauty categories, influencing commercial decisions and driving growth through consumer-centric thinking.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead the delivery of actionable consumer, shopper and market insights that inform strategic decision-making across the UK & Ireland business.

The Opportunity

As Head of Consumer & Market Insight, you will:

Lead the consumer intelligence strategy across key beauty categories.
Provide deep consumer, shopper and market understanding to support business growth.
Analyse market trends, competitor activity and evolving consumer behaviours.
Translate complex data into clear, commercially focused recommendations.
Influence senior stakeholders through compelling insight-led storytelling.
Identify growth opportunities through strategic consumer and market analysis.
Support innovation, product launches and category development initiatives.
Drive consumer-centric thinking across multiple business functions.
Ensure insights are converted into measurable business outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

Significant experience in Consumer Insights, Market Insight or Consumer Intelligence leadership roles.
Proven success applying insight-driven strategies within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise.
Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen.
Experience partnering with and influencing senior leadership teams.
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret multiple data sources.
Exceptional presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience delivering complex projects within demanding timescales.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong relationship-building abilities.

Ideal Background

FMCG, Beauty, Retail or Consumer Goods experience.
Category, brand or shopper insight expertise.
Experience working within complex matrix organisations.
Strong understanding of digital consumer behaviour and modern shopper journeys.
