The Head of Finance role is part-time (around 30 hours per week) and the business is happy to be flexible around your working pattern - ideal if you're looking for a senior position that still offers work-life balance. The role is office-based, but start and finish times can be tailored to suit you.
What will you be doing:
As the number one in finance, you'll play a key part in shaping the financial strategy and driving commercial success. Your responsibilities will include:
Taking ownership of the management accounts and presenting key insights to the Senior Leadership Team
Managing cash flow, budgets and forecasts
Providing costing and pricing analysis to support decision-making
Partnering with operational teams to ensure financial performance aligns with business goals
Overseeing financial controls and compliance
Leading and developing a small, dedicated team of two transactional staffWhat skills are we looking for:
We're seeking a hands-on, commercially minded finance professional who's comfortable working autonomously in an SME environment. You'll ideally have:
A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Manufacturing industry experience
Proven experience operating as the lead finance contact in a business
Previous team management experience
Exposure to an ERP system upgrade (advantageous but not essential)What's on offer:
A competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 (pro rata)
