Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Location: Dudley
Hours: Monday-Friday, 44 hours per week
Travel: Occasional UK travel

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to take responsibility for HSE across two manufacturing sites.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining compliance, improving safety culture and driving the business towards ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.

Key Responsibilities

Lead HSE strategy, policies and management systems across both sites.
Drive progress towards ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and permits.
Lead risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Oversee contractor safety, permits to work and RAMS.
Chair monthly HSE meetings and monitor HSE KPIs.
Deliver toolbox talks, training and safety initiatives.
Manage environmental, waste, energy and sustainability initiatives.
Liaise with regulators, insurers, clients and external auditors.
Report HSE performance and significant risks to senior management.

About You

Proven HSE experience within heavy manufacturing, foundry or a similar industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of industrial HSE risks and controls.
Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Strong risk assessment, auditing and incident investigation experience.
Confident influencing and coaching teams at all levels.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent qualification desirable.
