Job Description

HGV Class 2 Driver with ALLMI HIAB
£17.00 per hour + holiday pay
Start times: Typically around 7:00am
Contract: Temporary (potential for long-term opportunities)

Overview

We are looking for a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver with ALLMI HIAB certification to join our logistics team. You will be delivering reels and cables using a Class 2 flatbed vehicle equipped with a HIAB. A valid ALLMI licence is essential.

Duties

  * Operate flatbed lorries and commercial vehicles safely and in line with UK road regulations

  * Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled arrival times

  * Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing of loads and adherence to weight limits

  * Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects

  * Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs

  * Communicate clearly with dispatch, clients, and colleagues regarding delivery timings and updates

  * Comply with all health and safety policies and driving hours regulations

  * Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks when required

Skills & Experience

  * Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with flatbed lorries

  * Valid HGV Class 2 licence and ALLMI HIAB certification

  * Excellent knowledge of UK road safety laws and regulations

  * Clean driving record

  * Previous delivery-driver experience is highly desirable

  * Strong route-planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules

  * Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail

  * Able to work independently with professionalism and a strong focus on safety
