HGV Master Technician 
Salary: £55,000 to £56,000 per annum
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 37 Hours per week
We are seeking skilled and motivated HGV Master Technician / PSV Master Technician to join a busy engineering team responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of buses. Whether you're currently working on trucks, commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles or buses, we'd love to hear from you.
We will consider applicants with a background and experience in: 
REME Qualified 
HGV Qualified 
PSV Qualified 
Plant & Agricultural 

The Role of the HGV Master Technician / PSV Master Technician
As an HGV Master Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of passenger service vehicles to the highest safety and reliability standards.

Act as the principal technical support resource for engineering teams across the Glasgow depots.
Lead complex fault diagnosis activities, providing expert guidance to technicians and engineering management.
Support the rollout and maintenance of diagnostic systems, software updates, and emerging vehicle technologies.
Deliver on-the-job coaching and technical mentoring to enhance workshop capability and diagnostic performance.
Attend specialist training programmes and share knowledge to support the ongoing development of the wider engineering team.
Ensure technical information, manufacturer updates, and best practices are communicated effectively across all depots.
Work closely with the Group Technical Team on strategic engineering projects, reporting progress and findings to senior engineering leadership. 
Ideal HGV Master Technician / PSV Master Technician will have:

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Must have knowledge of Mercedes Engines and ZF Gearboxes
Level 4 hybrid EV trained and minimum of level 3 NVQ heavy vehicle / PCV tech
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience working on heavy vehicles or commercial vehicles.
Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
