HGV Technician 
Scotstoun, Glasgow
£20.50 per hour + Enhanced Weekend Rate
£2,000 Joining Bonus
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week Day shift 6am or 7am Start time

We are recruiting for a skilled PSV Technician / HGV Technician to join a busy engineering team responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of buses. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking transport operator investing heavily in new technology, sustainable vehicles and employee development.
This role would suit candidates currently working as a PSV Technician, HGV Technician, Bus Technician, REME Engineer.
 
The Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician 

Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
Identifying the correct repair methods and replacement parts.
Using diagnostic equipment and handheld devices to record maintenance activities.
Attending vehicle breakdowns and roadside recoveries when required.
Carrying out vehicle road tests following repairs.
Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety and compliance standards.
Maintaining accurate workshop records and job documentation. 
To be considered for the role of HGV Technician / PSV Technician 

NVQ Level 3, SVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Experience working on PSV, HGV, Bus, Coach or Commercial Vehicles.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
A flexible and proactive approach to work.
