Job Description

Our client is a well-known and reputable HGV dealership based in Livingston. Currently they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join their busy depot.

Key Responsibilities

  * Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs and trailers

  * Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults

  * Conduct MOT preparations and safety checks

  * Complete service sheets and repair documentation accurately

  * Work to DVSA standards and company policies

  * Perform roadside breakdown support when required

  * Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment

Requirements

  * NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance or equivalent (or strong experience)

  * Proven experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic

  * Good understanding of HGV systems including engines, brakes, electrics and diagnostics

  * Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 1/2 beneficial but not required)

  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
