HGV Technician / Automotive Technician - Workshop-Based 
Location: Oldbury, West Midlands 
Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 per annum + overtime 
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent 
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - No Weekend Shifts

We're recruiting for a skilled technician to join a modern and professional commercial vehicle workshop in Oldbury.

The Role 
As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping a modern commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and road-ready. 
Your duties will include: 
·Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles. 
·Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults. 
·Carrying out vehicle inspections and health checks. 
·Undertaking preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime. 
·Using diagnostic equipment to identify and repair faults. 
·Completing accurate workshop documentation and job records. 
·Working to manufacturer specifications and company standards. 
·Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship. 
·Working safely and efficiently within the workshop. 
·Working closely with colleagues to ensure vehicles are returned to service promptly.
 
About You 
We're looking for an experienced: 
HGV Technician | HGV Mechanic | Commercial Vehicle Technician | Automotive Technician 
You'll ideally have: 
·Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles. 
·Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification 
·HGV Licence - essential. 
·Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. 
·Good knowledge of commercial vehicle systems. 
·Excellent attention to detail. 
·A professional and reliable approach. 
·The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
No HGV Licence?
