Housing Assistant 
 Totnes 
 12-month fixed-term part-time position
 
 I am looking for a Housing Assistant to join a housing association in Totnes. This will be within the Extra Care team.

This is a 12-month fixed-term part-time position (25 hours per week), working 5 hours daily, Monday to Friday. Exact working hours are to be agreed and will be between 9am and 5pm.

Key responsibilities of the Housing Assistant:

Provide advice on repairs, tenancy management, and rent queries, referring to specialist teams where required
Communicate effectively with residents and signpost local services
Respond promptly to and resolve complaints in line with agreed standards
Liaise with contractors to minimise disruption and keep residents informed
Work with internal and external teams to address concerns and support safeguarding requirements
Carry out routine health and safety checks, including fire safety inspections, ensuring compliance with legislationYou will be able to demonstrate:

Experience delivering excellent customer service and acting on feedback
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Effective problem-solving and decision-making ability
