Description
Provide clear guidance as an HR Advisor on HR policies and procedures across this manufacturing business in Nottingham, supporting a positive and sustainable working environment.
Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, offering advice to managers and employees in line with legislation and company standards.
Manage disciplinary, grievance and performance-related cases, ensuring issues are handled fairly and consistently.
Support engagement and well being initiatives that contribute to a supportive workplace.
Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, shortlisting, interviews and onboarding.
Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new starters.
Ensure HR policies are up to date, compliant and clearly communicated to managers and employees.
Support line managers with the implementation of HR policies and best practice.
Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records across sites.
Produce regular reports on key HR metrics such as absence, turnover and general workforce trends.
Manage absence cases and coordinate return-to-work meetings.
Assist with training programmes and support development activities.
Contribute to HR projects and wider initiatives that support organisational goals.Profile
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
A strong background suited to an HR Advisor working within a manufacturing setting in or around Nottingham, with the ability to support a forward-thinking and sustainable organisation.
A solid understanding of HR policies, procedures and UK employment legislation, with confidence advising managers across multiple sites.
The capability to handle employee relations matters, including complex cases, in a professional and compliant manner.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage varied HR tasks effectively.
Clear and confident communication skills, able to build supportive relationships at all levels of the business.
A proactive mindset, able to identify solutions and support continuous improvement across HR activities.
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce accurate reports and maintain data integrity.
A CIPD qualification, ideally Level 5 or working towards it, demonstrating commitment to ongoing development.
The ability to contribute to HR projects that support operational goals and wider people initiatives.
