HR Assistant

Hull (Hybrid- minimum 2 days office based)

Fixed Term Contract 6 Months

Full Time - £28,000

We are recruiting for a proactive and organised HR Assistant to join a busy HR Operations team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role plays an important part in supporting the wider HR function and ensuring employees receive an efficient and positive HR service.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous HR experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to further develop their career in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

  * Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing a professional and helpful service

  * Maintain and update HR systems to ensure employee records remain accurate

  * Complete general HR administration tasks with a high level of accuracy

  * Prepare employee lifecycle documentation including contracts, letters and HR correspondence

  * Respond to employee queries and escalate where necessary

  * Support the HR team with people-related activities including employee relations processes

  * Assist with recruitment administration and pre-boarding activities for new starters

  * Provide support with payroll administration where required

Skills & Experience

  * Previous experience in an HR role is essential

  * Strong administrative background

  * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  * Experience using HR systems or databases

  * Strong organisational and time management skills

  * Confident communication and interpersonal skills

  * Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines

  * A collaborative team approach and commitment to providing excellent service
