What will the HR Assistant role involve?

Managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including liaising with recruitment agencies, preparing documentation, and supporting new starter inductions.
Overseeing staff training programmes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with budget and approval procedures.
Supporting HR meetings by taking detailed notes and assisting with administration of employee records, reports, and HR database updates.
Administering employee lifecycle processes, including absence management, performance reviews, and leaver procedures.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies, contributing to the firm’s ongoing commitment to quality and integrity.
Suitable Candidate for the HR Assistant vacancy:

Proven experience in HR administration or co-ordination within education, an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
Effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues at all levels.
Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and relevant compliance standards.
Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Additional benefits and information for the role of HR Assistant:

£30,000 - £35,000 salary (pro rata) depending on experience.
Flexible part-time hours, with work aligned to school hours (approx. 5 hours daily).
23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, plus additional days around Christmas.
Employer pension contributions (4%) matched by employee, plus life cover of twice annual salary.
