Job Description

Group HR Officer - must drive About the Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive Group HR Officer to join our HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CIPD Level 5 qualified HR professional with strong employee relations experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting managers across the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering a professional HR service across the business, providing expert advice on employee relations, supporting recruitment, developing HR systems and contributing to people-focused projects. Key Responsibilities Manage a wide range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance matters through to resolution. Coach and support managers on HR best practice, employment legislation and company policies. Support organisational change initiatives and restructures. Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, from advertising vacancies through to offers and contracts. Prepare employment contracts and associated documentation. Lead and develop the company's apprenticeship programme, working closely with colleges, apprentices and managers. Maintain and develop the HR information system, ensuring data accuracy and producing meaningful management reports and HR dashboards. Support payroll processes when required. Manage the company intranet and employee communications, including monthly people updates. Coordinate the company's Drug & Alcohol testing programme. Support the Group HR Director with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with GDPR and current employment legislation at all times. About You To be successful in this role you'll have: CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent). At least 5 years' experience in a HR Officer or HR Advisor position. Strong employee relations experience with confidence managing complex cases. Experience supporting recruitment from vacancy through to onboarding. Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Experience using HR systems and producing HR reports. Excellent communication and coaching skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Desirable Payroll experience. Previous management or supervisory experience. Experience developing HR systems, dashboards or reporting.
