Job Description

Karsten UK is a fast-paced fruit packing company based in Newport, Shropshire. PAYROLL Enrol new starters onto the Time and Attendance system. Ensure that the exceptions on the T&A system is tidied weekly for all. Handling of enquiries and support to staff where problems are experienced with payroll data/system. Posting of wage/salary related entries to the payroll company. Management, monitoring, and processing of weekly wages. Management, monitoring, and processing of weekly Agency hours. Ensure the clocking hours have been checked daily for previous working day. HR Assist with the HR Manager for being first point of contact for all HR-related queries. Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment, pay reviews, performance reviews etc. Ensure the relevant HR database and personnel files are kept up to date, accurate and complies with legislation. Assist in the recruitment process both internally and externally. Set up interviews and issue relevant correspondence. Assist with lower level disciplinaries. Preparation of data/information required for presentations/meetings. Covering switchboard and reception responsibilities Assist with the preparation and running of events/functions. Delivering Induction training to all new starters Compliance with Home Office Rules for the Right to Work in the UK Planning together with line managers the requirement of additional staffing within their departments Committed to maintaining a Health and Safety orientated environment for self and others. Develop structured company training & development programmes. Coordinate training activities internally and externally. Establish and coordinate team building activities. Follow any reasonable request made by management. Key Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Discreet and sensitive to confidential information First class organisational ability to include superb planning & co-ordination skills. Ability of working autonomously Adaptable & quick to react and rise to a challenge. Sound IT skills to inc. Microsoft Word & Excel Analytical ability First class organisational ability to include superb planning & co-ordination skills. Good team player that is proactive, flexible, and ready to go the extra mile. Ability to work in a multicultural environment. CIPD LV 3 or working towards preffered
