A specialist engineering solutions business experiencing continued growth is seeking to appoint an HSE Advisor to strengthen its team. The role is focused on reducing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a positive, proactive health & safety culture

Key Responsibilities for the HSE Advisor
Promote a positive HSE culture through site engagement, toolbox talks, wellbeing initiatives, and clear communication, including leading H&S committee meetings.
Deliver and support HSE training, inductions, health surveillance, and internal competency assessments, ensuring consistent development across the workforce.
Lead risk management activities including risk assessments, COSHH support, PPE guidance, and compliance with all relevant H&S legislation.
Conduct audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis while maintaining accurate data, reporting on trends, and updating HSE information systems.
Support the development and maintenance of HSE documentation, procedures, and customer pre‑qualification requirements.
Provide on‑site and contractor support through RAMS development, HSE inductions, supplier approval processes, and occasional site visits.
Carry out occupational health surveillance activities such as DSE, noise, and vibration assessments, working closely with the HSE Manager and other functional leads.
Ideal Candidate Profile for the HSE Advisor:
NEBOSH National General Certificate
Background in HSE with a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a similar industry
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Excellent interpersonal skills
Self-driven and team player
Willingness and the thirst to continue to learn
