HVAC Mechanical Estimator

📍 Nottingham

A Midlands-based M&E design & build contractor is looking for an HVAC Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team.

This role will involve preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects across commercial and industrial sectors, with involvement in design and value engineering.

Responsibilities

  * 

    Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC/mechanical projects

  * 

    Carry out take-offs for materials, labour, and equipment

  * 

    Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents

  * 

    Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations

  * 

    Support design teams with cost-effective solutions

  * 

    Assist with tender submissions and bid packages

  * 

    Attend site visits and pre/post tender meetings

Requirements

  * 

    Experience in HVAC/mechanical estimating

  * 

    Good understanding of HVAC systems and design principles

  * 

    Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

  * 

    Strong analytical and organisational skills

  * 

    Estimating software / Excel experience

  * 

    HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent experience)
