Job Description

My client, a food based company in the Tewkesbury area, is looking to recruit a Lab Technician on a Temp to Perm basis.  

This role will require you to work 5 days out of 7 where your Mid-week shifts could start at 0530, 0600, 0700 or 1200, 
Saturday shifts start at 0800 and Sunday shifts from 0600

The main responsibilities of the job include

- Conduct sampling and microbiological testing of products to maintain quality control.
- Analyse and interpret results, detecting any irregularities to ensure compliance with company and legislative standards.
- Keep laboratory areas organized, adhering to all COSHH, Health & Safety, and Food Safety protocols..

As a suitable candidate you will offer the following

- Previous laboratory experience in the dairy or food industry would be preferred
- Knowledge of microbiology, food hygiene, and quality control standards
- A strong communicator who builds effective working relationships
- Previous experience maintaining Food hygiene standards
- GCSE (grade B or above) in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or a relevant qualification in Biological Sciences would be preferred

This role will start at £14.54 with overtime available after 40 hours
