Position: Lead Civils Estimator (United Utilities AMP8 Projects)

Location: Preston (Hybrid - 2 days per week on-site)
Contract Type: Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension
Rate: Up to £430/day (Outside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Civils Estimator to join a Tier 1 contractor working on the prestigious United Utilities AMP8 projects in Preston. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost estimation, tendering, and project planning for civils works within this major infrastructure program.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and develop accurate civils cost estimates for multi-disciplinary projects
Collaborate with design teams, clients, and subcontractors to gather data and ensure competitive pricing
Manage and review tender documentation and risk assessments
Support project teams during procurement and contract negotiations
Contribute to project planning and scheduling to ensure timely submission of bidsCandidate Requirements:

Proven experience as a Civils Estimator, ideally within utility or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of United Utilities standards and AMP8 frameworks
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Availability to start immediately and commit to 2 days per week on-site in PrestonBenefits:
