Learning Support Assistant – Bromley Campus

Location: Bromley
Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday - Friday
Contract: Temporary contract until 13 February 2026

Hourly rate: £13.10 per hour

About the Role

Our Client is looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team. You will provide vital support to learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning opportunities, develop independence, and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  * Assist learners with educational and social development.

  * Support personal care, safety, and well-being needs.

  * Promote independent learning and self-advocacy skills.

  * Help implement individual support plans and EHCP objectives.

  * Ensure access to assistive technologies and college services.

What We’re Looking For

  * Experience supporting SEN learners in an educational setting.

  * Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  * Ability to work flexibly and respond sensitively to learner needs.

  * Good IT skills.

  * Knowledge of MAKATON/BSL is desirable.

  * A current Enhanced DBS (within the last 3 years) and relevant overseas police checks if applicable.

Additional Requirements
Candidates must be prepared to complete online/social media checks as part of safer recruitment (KCSiE 2022).
