Job Description

Orchard Professional Solutions Ltd are working with a Holiday Homes manufacturer who are looking for an experienced line manager to join their team, who will manage, lead and motivate operatives in the assembly of caravans and lodges.

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced line manage to supervise the production team in the manufacturing of high-quality caravans and lodges. You will be required to lead by example on the workshop floor, ensuring; products meet the high-quality standards, production targets are achieved and health and safety is always maintained.

Responsibilities:

  * Lead, motivate and manage a team of product operatives in the the assembly of caravans and lodges

  * Plan and allocate daily workloads to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met

  * Monitor quality standards, ensuring all products meet required specifications

  * Promote and enforce structure adherence to Health and Safety policies

  * Provide coaching, training and guidance to develop team skills and performances

  * Hold daily meeting to bridge information to and from senior management

  * Identify and report on process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste

  * Assist with inventory management, ensuring materials and components are available as needed

  * Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture

  * Monitor key KPIs

  * Collaborate quality, purchasing and drawing office issues and assist in any resolutions

  * Organise labourer, overtime and supervisor, ensuring full utilisation in collaboration with other team leaders

Skills and Qualifications:

  * Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment (ideally within caravans and lodges)

  * Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills

  * Knowledge of assembly processes, tools, and machinery relevant to caravan/ lodge manufacturing

  * Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines and maintain quality standards

  * Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices

  * Ability to mentor a team in line with the company’s handbook

Qualifications:

  * Experienced line / production manager

  * Experience of caravan, lodges or modular construction

  * Familiarity with quality management systems in manufacturing
