Job Description

Machine Operator / Production Operative

Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Machine Operator / Production Operative to join our production team. This role involves operating and monitoring machinery while also supporting general production tasks to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  * 

    Operate and monitor production machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.

  * 

    Set up machines for production runs and ensure correct materials and settings are used.

  * 

    Perform routine checks to ensure machines are functioning correctly.

  * 

    Identify and report machine faults or production issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.

  * 

    Carry out basic machine adjustments where trained to do so.

  * 

    Assist with general production duties including assembly, packing, labelling, and palletising products.

  * 

    Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet required specifications.

  * 

    Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all health and safety procedures.

  * 

    Record production data and complete relevant documentation when required.

  * 

    Support other areas of the production line as needed to meet production targets.

Requirements:

  * 

    Previous experience operating machinery or working in a manufacturing/production environment is desirable but not essential.

  * 

    Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  * 

    Ability to follow instructions and work to standard operating procedures.

  * 

    Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  * 

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.

  * 

    Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment
