Machine Wirer – Special Purpose Machinery Location: Coventry Salary: £35,000 (depending on experience) overtime benefits Are you an experienced Machine Wirer looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Wirer to join our growing team, working on the design and build of special-purpose automated machinery supplied to customers worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company known for engineering excellence, innovation, and craftsmanship, where you’ll play a key role in wiring and assembling cutting-edge machinery for a wide range of industries. The RoleAs a Machine Wirer, you will be responsible for: Electrical wiring of control panels, machinery, and automation systems Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics Supporting with mechanical assembly, working alongside fitters and engineers Ensuring all wiring is carried out to industry standards (BS7671, IPC/WHMA A-620 desirable) Testing, fault-finding, and troubleshooting during build and commissioning Assisting with machine trials, testing, and customer FATs Liaising with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to keep projects on track Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop environment About YouWe’re looking for a Machine Wirer with: 3 years’ experience in electrical wiring within an engineering or machinery build environment Strong knowledge of schematics, panel wiring, and machine wiring Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, and automation systems (preferred) Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems (advantageous) ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (preferred, not essential) A proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach What’s on Offer Competitive salary (DOE) paid overtime Generous company pension scheme 250 hours holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) Flexible working and free EV charging on site Share dividend scheme Overseas travel allowances (where applicable) A supportive, collaborative, and innovative working environment Hours Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 8.25 hrs/day Friday: 4.5 hrs Requirements: Full UK driving licence (preferred) Right to work in the UK This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Machine Wirer to join a company where your skills will directly contribute to delivering world-class bespoke machinery.
