Maintenance Electrician Static Distribution Site | Cumbernauld £38,394.17 + Standby Payments + Training + Excellent Benefits Looking for a static Maintenance Electrician role with a better work-life balance and long-term job security? A permanent opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a facilities management business delivering electrical and building maintenance at a large distribution site in Cumbernauld. Working Monday to Friday, you'll be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance, helping to keep the site operating safely and efficiently. This is a static position with no daily travel between customer locations, although a full UK driving licence is required for use of a pool vehicle whilst participating in the standby rota. The Role Working as part of the on-site engineering team, you'll carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a busy distribution environment. You'll be responsible for fault finding, maintaining electrical systems, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting the smooth operation of the site through high-quality maintenance work. This is an ideal role for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Electrician with experience in commercial, industrial or facilities management environments. Key Responsibilities Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance schedules. Respond to reactive electrical faults and carry out effective repairs. Fault find on single and three-phase electrical systems. Test and maintain emergency lighting and fire alarm systems. Carry out minor electrical installations and alterations. Maintain electrical compliance records and complete all documentation accurately. Identify equipment requiring replacement and provide recommendations. Conduct site surveys and produce maintenance reports when required. Carry out basic building maintenance duties where appropriate. Liaise with site management to minimise operational disruption. Order materials in line with company procedures. Participate in a 24/7 standby and call-out rota. Work safely at all times, following Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. What You'll Need NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance. City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition). Experience carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance. Strong fault-finding skills on three-phase electrical systems. Experience maintaining electrical plant and associated mechanical equipment. Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads. AM2 and/or City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection would be advantageous. Full UK driving licence. What's On Offer Salary: £38,394.17 Permanent, full-time position.
