Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary: £48,443 per annum + benefits

Shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:30 / 14:00-22:30

About the Role:

We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for an automated warehouse based in Northampton. You will be response for the day-to-day maintenance of the fast flowing material handling equipment as well as:

  * Delivery of key service elements such as planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification and fault

eradication

  * Ensure all aspects of their working day are logged as per the agreed method

  * Fully interact with the customer in day-to-day activities

  * Identify and resolve issues with the materials handling equipment, including identification of root causes, working proactively with the customer operations team

  * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and submit proposals

  * Effectively communicate throughout the team and with the customer

Requirements:

  * ONC/HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or PLC Engineering

  * Recognised cross training from Mechanical to Electrical Engineering of vice versa

  * PLC knowledge and experience is advantageous.

  * Health and Safety Qualifications desirable

  * Experience of automated materials handling equipment

  * Ability to work at height.

  * Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills desirable.

  * Good team working skills.
