Management Accountant
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid
Salary: up to £55k + benefits
Type: Permanent
An established organisation is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team. Working within a structured and well‑governed environment, this role offers broad exposure across statutory reporting, management accounts, audit, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver month‑end close activities, alongside quarterly and annual reporting requirements
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate recording of assets and liabilities
Prepare management accounts with meaningful analysis
Complete reporting and variance analysis
Maintain standard costing and ensure accurate inventory/stock valuation
Produce monthly stock analysis and supporting commentary
Support the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements for assigned entities
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Build strong relationships with internal and external audit teams, ensuring audit deliverables are prepared on time and issues are resolved effectively
Support external audits and ongoing compliance requirements
Take ownership of ad‑hoc accounting projects as required
Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement across the finance functionAbout You
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail with a solid understanding of core accounting principles
Confident working to deadlines within a reporting‑led environment
Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly
