Manufacturing Engineer | Hands-on Process Improvement | £36,000–£45,000 DOE
A well-established manufacturer in Marden, Kent is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to make a real impact on the shop floor.
This is a practical, varied role for someone who enjoys improving how products are built. You will work closely with production to streamline assembly, improve tooling and layouts, and help the business build more efficiently.
The role
* Improve and standardise assembly processes
* Write clear work instructions and process documents
* Design jigs, fixtures and tooling that make builds easier and more consistent
* Use CAD to develop factory layouts
* Support SAP routings and engineering changes
* Drive lean / Kaizen improvements to cut waste and improve flow
* Help raise quality and challenge existing build times
What we’re looking for
* Manufacturing or assembly engineering experience
* A practical understanding of lean and continuous improvement
* Ability to use CAD
* Confidence working on the shop floor and with production teams
* SAP / routing experience would be useful, but is not essential
