I’m recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Leisure Marine Engineer to join a well-established UK boatyard that’s growing fast and investing heavily in new projects. This is a brilliant role for someone who loves hands-on engineering, variety in their day, and being part of a close-knit, forward-thinking team.

What you’ll be doing You’ll be a key part of the engineering team, carrying out a wide range of marine engineering tasks, including:
Diagnosing and repairing faults on various leisure marine engines and drive systems
Servicing diesel and petrol engines
Installing outboard and inboard engines
Fitting and maintaining boat systems — propulsion, steering, generators and more
Working on fuel, hydraulic and water systems
Low-voltage electrical installation, upgrades, and fault-finding
Producing accurate job timings, parts lists and clear engineering reports
Who we’re looking for
A background in leisure marine engineering is ideal
Strong mechanical experience from automotive or agricultural sectors will also be considered
Someone who works to exceptionally high standards and takes pride in getting the job done right
A team player with great attention to detail and a strong awareness of health & safety
Someone flexible enough to support additional hours during busy periods
