About the Role

Local Education are recruiting an enthusiastic and confident Maths Teacher to join a successful secondary setting on a temp-to-perm basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in developing their mathematical understanding and confidence.

This role is ideal for a teacher who values consistency, professional development, and long-term stability. You will be joining a department that promotes collaboration and encourages the sharing of effective teaching strategies to raise achievement across all year groups.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.

  * 

    Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners.

  * 

    Track and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback and targeted interventions where necessary.

  * 

    Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and create a positive, structured learning environment.

  * 

    Participate in departmental planning, assessment moderation, and curriculum development.

Requirements

  * 

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.

  * 

    Experience teaching Mathematics up to KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).

  * 

    Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to inspire confidence in learners.

  * 

    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  * 

    Availability for an immediate start and commitment to a long-term post.
