The school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join the department from January 2026. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will teach across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), and there may be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level) depending on experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school’s curriculum

Support students in developing strong numeracy skills and mathematical confidence

Prepare and guide students for GCSE examinations, ensuring progress and achievement

Assess, track, and record student attainment, providing constructive feedback

Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and resilience

Maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and academic engagement

Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and whole-school initiatives

Participate in training and professional development opportunities

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a specialism in Mathematics (ECTs welcome to apply)

Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)

Strong classroom management and a commitment to raising attainment

A passion for helping students succeed in Maths through engaging and creative teaching
