Salary: £46,587.88, inclusive of 35% holiday bonus
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Flexibility required to work shift patterns aligned with business needs
Holiday: 33 days per year, made up of 25 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Measurement Room Specialist to join the plant Quality Department.
In this role, you will work across both metrology and metallurgical laboratory environments, measuring internally manufactured and externally purchased components. You will play an important part in ensuring components meet the required quality standards and support the wider business as it continues its transformation towards becoming a world leader in electric vehicle powertrains.
You will work closely with a range of teams, including engineering, production, maintenance and management, supporting projects and day-to-day quality activities within an advanced automotive manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Your key responsibilities will include:
Measuring internal and externally purchased components using laboratory measurement equipment.
Producing accurate inspection and measurement reports.
Supporting quality investigations by providing measurement and technical support.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed in line with business targets.
Applying measurement principles and quality standards to support continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a solid understanding of measurement principles. Training will be provided on specific measurement equipment, so the key requirement is a good appreciation of accurate measurement, inspection and quality processes.
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:
A completed Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship and an HNC/HND, or equivalent, in a relevant subject.
Good knowledge of measurement principles and processes.
Previous experience within metrology laboratory measurement would be beneficial.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
A proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to learn.
A good understanding of 5S and workplace organisation.
Training and Development
