Mechanical Contracts Manager & Estimator ‘Commercial’ Vacancy
Location: Brill, Buckinghamshire.

Rate of Pay: £ Competitive Salary (Negotiable depending on experience)
The Company Roberts & Prowse operates as a Mechanical and Electrical Services Contractor throughout the Home Counties, South West and South East of the UK. With an established reputation across multiple industry sectors and sustained business growth, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Contracts Manager / Estimator to join our expanding team at our Brill Office.
The Role As a Mechanical Contracts Manager / Estimator, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for both estimating and managing awarded mechanical projects. You will be responsible for procuring mechanical quotations, managing live projects, and working closely with Electrical Estimators to submit combined Mechanical & Electrical quotations where required.
Projects are located in and around the Home Counties, South East and South West regions.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating:
* Review, prepare and submit Mechanical tenders, ensuring deadlines are fully met.
* Request extensions to return dates and submit RFI’s as required.
* Liaise with Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients and consultants to present and obtain value-engineered solutions.
* Procurement of pricing from subcontractors and specialist subcontractors, and identification of long-lead equipment and materials.
* Ability to measure works and produce itemised Bills of Quantities where required.
* Finalisation of tender bids, attend pre-order meetings, secure contracts and hand over to delivery phase.
Contracts Management:
* Act as project lead on awarded Mechanical projects from pre-start to final handover.
* Attend client progress meetings and coordinate resources to meet programme deliverables.
* Regular liaison with clients and internal teams to ensure project milestones, specifications and health & safety requirements are met.
* Manage project variations and ensure instructions are documented and priced accordingly.
* Maintain accurate project records using company systems and Microsoft Office suite.
* Attend KPI (Key Performance Indicator) meetings with the senior management team.

The Person: To be considered for this role, applicants must be fully qualified with a proven track record as a Mechanical Estimator and/or Mechanical Contracts Manager, ideally within Commercial Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
Requirements:
* ONC / HNC (or equivalent qualification) in Mechanical Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
* Strong experience in commercial / industrial mechanical estimating
* Experience of managing mechanical projects from award to handover
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications
* Full UK driving licence
* CSCS Academically Qualified – Advantageous
* DBS – Advantageous
* TRIMBLE – Luckins Live Estimating Software – Advantageous
* Eque2 Estimating Software – Advantageous
* Time-served background as a Mechanical Engineer preferred
