I’m currently representing a leading business in the design element of security and communications systems based in Gloucester. They’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis due to growth in the business.

Job Description

Deliver mechanical design solutions which align with detailed specifications
Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Produce 2D drawings in SolidWorks, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BoMs) to a high standard
Collaborate with various departments such as production to ensure projects are running smoothly and no errors occur
Provide cost effective solutions that align with the company’s technical requirements for manufacturing 
 Mechanical Design Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Experienced using SolidWorks (2D and 3D) or similar
Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication, machined components, and manufacturing processes
Confident using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
A ‘can do attitude’
Willingness to learn and develop
