Mechanical Engineering Lecturer – Further Education College, Wolverhampton

Location: Wolverhampton
Contract: Full-time / Long-Term Ongoing

A leading further education college in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced and inspiring Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join their growing Engineering department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator or experienced industry professional who can deliver engaging lessons up to and including Level 4, helping students gain practical and technical skills for a career in engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Mechanical Engineering.

  * 

    Deliver sessions in CAD, SolidWorks, and other key mechanical engineering software and processes.

  * 

    Teach and assess learners across Levels 1–4 within the Further Education framework.

  * 

    Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in line with awarding body standards.

  * 

    Support and mentor learners to achieve their full potential.

  * 

    Contribute to curriculum development and departmental quality improvement.

Requirements

  * 

    Recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).

  * 

    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).

  * 

    Strong technical knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks, and general mechanical engineering principles.

  * 

    Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.

  * 

    Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills.
