Mechanical Fitter

Birmingham

£16 – £18 per hour

Our client based in Birmingham are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team!

Mechanical Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:

  * Assemble, install, and align mechanical components and machinery

  * Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance

  * Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs

  * Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

  * Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians

  * Ensure all work adheres to health & safety regulations and company procedures

  * Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

Mechanical Fitter Ideal Candidate:

  * Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role

  * Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  * Competent with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
