Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Burntwood, West Midlands
£36,500 - £38,000 per annum starting salary (depending on experience)
Permanent Contract
37 hours per week – Fixed day shift (approx. 6am – 2pm Mon – Thurs, 6am – 4pm Fri)

The Role:

Join a supportive, proactive maintenance team where your day will include:

  * 

    Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep production running smoothly

  * 

    Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a range of machinery, including hydraulics and pneumatics systems

  * 

    Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime

  * 

    Getting involved in machinery upgrades, new installations, and reliability improvement projects

  * 

    Keeping accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with company standards

About You:

  * We’re looking for someone who brings both Mechanical Maintenance experience and enthusiasm working in a manufacturing environment

  * 

    Recognised mechanical engineering qualifications (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, etc.)

  * 

    Strong background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment

  * 

    Confident working with PPM routines, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  * 

    Able to work independently while also being a great team player

  * 

    Practical problem-solver with clear communication skills
