Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services / MEP

Southampton Area, Hampshire – Hybrid Working (2 days from home)

£50k - £60k DOE, + benefits include pension, flexible working hours and cycle to work scheme

This role is to join a highly professional friendly team of specialist design engineers. Responsibilities

This design focused role would suit a project manager with some building services mechanical design experience or a building services mechanical design engineer looking to move into more of a project management role.

  * Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design

  * Providing project management and mechanical design expertise

  * Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams

  * Attending a range of project group and technical meetings

  * Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements

  * Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures

  * Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project

  * Carrying out condition surveys and providing recommendation reports to clients

Experience Required

  * Accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND) in mechanical engineering.

  * Post education experience in Building Services or Mechanical engineering, experience with running projects including project management calculations, drawings, specifications, etc

  * Experience of industry standard software
