A well-established manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Technician to join its site engineering team.
This is a great opportunity for a strong mechanically biased engineer who enjoys being hands-on but can also provide guidance and support to others. You'll play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, responding to breakdowns and planned maintenance, while helping to develop less experienced engineers within the team.

Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Maintaining pumps, bearings, mechanical seals and lubrication systems
Carrying out laser alignment and precision mechanical fitting
Using CMMS systems to record and manage maintenance activity
Supporting building and facilities maintenance where required
Ensuring all work is completed in line with site health, safety and environmental procedures including LOTO, PTW and risk assessments
Supporting spare parts and maintenance cost control
What we're looking for
This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineer or senior mechanically biased maintenance professional who is confident working independently while supporting the wider team.
You'll ideally have experience across areas such as:

Bearings, mechanical seals and lubrication systems
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Laser alignment
Bench fitting
Safe lifting and mechanical handling
Condition monitoring and interpretation of findings
Hand, power and precision measuring equipment
