Job Description

Medical Receptionist – West Byfleet

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join a well-established EMIS-based GP practice in West Byfleet. This is a fixed-term, part-time position with an immediate start available.

Position Details:

    Role: Medical Receptionist

  * 

    Location: West Byfleet

  * 

    Contract Type: Fixed-term

  * 

    Days: Mondays and Fridays

  * 

    Hours: Part-time (15–20 hours per week, across the two days)

  * 

    Start Date: ASAP

  * 

    Pay Rate: £15.95 per hour (Umbrella) or £13.55 per hour (PAYE)

  * 

    System: EMIS

Key Responsibilities:

  * 

    Managing patient appointments and maintaining accurate records on EMIS.

  * 

    Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.

  * 

    Supporting clinicians and administrative staff with day-to-day operations.

  * 

    Ensuring a high level of confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies.

Requirements:

  * 

    Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist within a GP or healthcare setting.

  * 

    Proficiency in EMIS is essential.

  * 

    Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  * 

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  * 

    Friendly, professional, and reliable approach to patient care.
