The Role:
As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who may experience anxiety, trauma, behavioural challenges, or other mental health needs. You will support them both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where they can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with mental health needs
Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive coping strategies
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
Build strong, trusting relationships with students
Support the implementation of individual support plansRequirements:

Previous experience working with mental health (desirable but not essential)
Backgrounds in care, youth work, psychology, or support work are highly valued
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
