Salary: OTE £60,000+ (Basic Salary £40,000 - £50,000+ DOE)

THE ROLE 
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll be responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and trim aspects of vehicle repairs, ensuring components are safely removed, repaired or replaced, and correctly refitted following accident damage.

Key responsibilities include: 
·Carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim strip and refit work on accident-damaged vehicles. 
·Removing and replacing damaged components in preparation for structural and body repairs. 
·Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues resulting from vehicle damage. 
·Reassembling vehicles following Panel and Paint repairs, ensuring all components are correctly fitted. 
·Carrying out functional and safety checks to confirm vehicle systems operate correctly. 
·Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and Workshop Controllers. 
·Ensuring all repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and required quality standards. 
·Maintaining tools, equipment, and the working area in a clean, safe, and professional condition.

ABOUT YOU 
This opportunity would suit an experienced MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Vehicle Technician / Bodyshop MET Technician with strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.

You'll ideally have: 
·Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within an accident repair centre or professional Bodyshop. 
·Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA). 
·Strong mechanical, electrical, and vehicle trim knowledge. 
·Experience with vehicle strip-down, component replacement, and refitting. 
·Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. 
·The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a busy workshop team. 
·A full UK driving licence. 
·A commitment to continuous professional development.
