Job Description

Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

📍 Chelmsford (Mobile role – covering surrounding areas)
💰 Up to £42,000 + Benefits
🕒 Full Time – 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team. This is a varied, field-based role where you’ll be responsible for maintaining multiple sites across the Chelmsford region.

If you’re an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys problem-solving and working independently, this is a great opportunity to join a well-established contract with strong support and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and plant

  * 

    Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues efficiently

  * 

    Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to maintain operational performance

  * 

    Maintain accurate records using CAFM systems (e.g. PlanOn)

  * 

    Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)

  * 

    Ensure compliance with BS7671 regulations, KPIs, and SLAs

  * 

    Manage spare parts and support remedial works planning

  * 

    Work closely with subcontractors and client representatives

  * 

    Operate within Permit to Work systems and safety procedures

  * 

    Participate in the on-call rota

What We’re Looking For

  * 

    NVQ Level 3 in Electrical (or equivalent qualification)

  * 

    18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations

  * 

    Full UK driving licence

  * 

    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

  * 

    Experience working on commercial or public sector sites

  * 

    Ability to work independently in a mobile role
