Job Description

Kingston Barnes has an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for one of our clients in Bridgwater. Due to continued success, the company has doubled the amount of assets to meet the production demands which calls for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities:

  * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to equipment breakdowns.

  * Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

  * Inspect and maintain machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation.

  * Support production by providing a fast response to maintenance issues.

  * Work closely with colleagues to improve equipment performance and reduce recurring faults.

  * Keep maintenance records up to date and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  * Assist with the installation, commissioning and upgrade of new machinery and equipment.

  * Follow health and safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.

As a skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be well organised and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

About you:

  * Strong electrical maintenance skills within manufacturing

  * Experience carrying out PPMs in a fast-paced production environment

  * Competent in fault finding, inspections, and repair of industrial equipment

  * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering; 18th Edition required

  * Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and in a team

  * Well organised with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

  * Clear and effective communication with engineers, operations, and contractors
