Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting a National Account Manager – Retail to join our sales team. In this role, you will take ownership of key retail accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with major customers. Strong negotiation and influencing skills will be essential to succeed in this highly competitive market.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring your vision for our brands to life within the retail channel.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Head of Sales and as a key member of our sales team, this role will be responsible for leading the interface between the business, our customers, and the achievement of company sales, share, revenue and profit goals. This is a demanding role which will require drive, ambition, and enthusiasm, combined with a high level of technical skills such as selling, negotiation, forecasting and commercial awareness. Equally the ability to foster outstanding customer relationships. As a key aspect of this role will be the daily interaction with other functions within the business, applicants will need to demonstrate success in working as part of a cross functional team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage current customer portfolio.
- Build & deliver channel plan to achieve company goals.
- Pricing & terms negotiation.
- Joint business planning
- General customer management.
- Attendance at sales exhibitions.
- Monthly forecasting.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
- Broad FMCG food sales experience.
- Commercially astute.
- Be able to collaborate and influence effectively
- A positive hands-on approach/can do attitude/team player
